Moore Inducted into SSU Hall of Fame

Tiffany Shanks-Moore

A member of the 1996 NAIA National Runner-Up Softball team, Tiffany Shanks-Moore was an instrumental part of SSU's rise during the mid-1990s to a NAIA title contender. Shanks-Moore owns two of the top 15 hitting seasons in SSU history, hitting .444 in 1993 and .441 in 1996 after missing the 1995 season. Her 1996 season was arguably her best: she hit .441 with an on-base percentage of .461 and a slugging percentage of .655 with 64 hits, 13 doubles, 3 triples and 4 home runs while scoring 43 runs and driving in 41 RBIs. Shanks-Moore is third in career batting average at .443, fourth in on-base percentage at .469 and third in slugging percentage at .638.

Shanks-Moore was a Second Team NAIA All-American in 1996, was she named first team All-Mid-Ohio Conference twice and honorable mention All-MOC once. She won MOC Player of the Week on May 7, 1996, and was a Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athlete in 1996.

Moore was inducted into the Poland HS Hall of Fame in 2016.
